The VSWD-255 Series beacon was born out of the customer need for a beacon that had an approved and certified CAP168 flash pattern. The original plan was to bring in a stand alone beacon with the static flash required for airside vehicles, but we felt that this was too limiting. Therefore the 255 series is an ECE R65 beacon with six non airport flash patterns with the seventh being dedicated to airside applications. All the certification and approvals are available. The beacon is currently available in both 1 bolt and magnetic fixing, with 3 bolt and flexi din on their way. So this because in a good utility beacon, compact, powerful, approved and with the airport flash to boot!
